What is your pick up schedule?
Auckland pick up schedule
Hotel pick-ups from the below hotels only and start up to 20 mins before your tour time. Please see below what group your hotel is in and what your pick up time is. Please be waiting in your accommodation’s lobby or outside no later than this time to avoid missing your pick up. Drivers have multiple pick-ups so can on occasion run up to 10 minutes late. Drivers will not wait for late passengers.
Group 1: 20 minutes before the tour start time.

Passengers that miss their pick up will be required to meet the tour at the tour’s first stop at their own expense to continue on the tour. No refunds will be given to late or no show passengers.
What's included in your tours?
Standard tour inclusions are:
- Fully-guided, small-group return tour from your departure point (unless one way tour is booked)
- Hotel pick ups and drop offs (specific central hotels only)
- Refreshments and snacks whilst driving
- On-screen entertainment during the drive
- Multiple stops to purchase food, buy souvenirs or take photos
- Wifi and charging ports available in vehicle
- Transport in modern and comfortable minibuses
Are your tours return tours?
Our standard tours are return tours, but you can arrange one way transport if you wish.

Can we travel one way?
Yes you can travel one way but this must be arranged ahead of your tour.

Can we be picked up from the airport?
We can pick you up from a location close to the airport (within a few minutes walk).
Please contact us for locations.
Can we be dropped off at the airport?
We can drop you off close to the airport but please arrange this with us before your tour.
Does my child need a car seat?
Children under the age of 7 must be in a child safety seat, as it is a legal requirement in New Zealand. If you need a safety seat or booster seat these can be added during the booking process.
Do you provide private tours?
Yes we do. We do private tours and fully customised tours. Just drop us an enquiry at bookings@cheekykiwitravel.com.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included, but during the booking process most of our tours offer a lunch addon option and we stop multiple times throughout the tour where you can purchase food.
What type of vehicles will we travel in?
We have a fleet of modern comfortable minibuses ranging from 7 to 17 seats, kitted out with all the mod cons a traveller could need. Air conditioning, Usb charging socket throughout buses and DVD players to help the stories come to life.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather is so bad we have to cancel due to safety reasons we will offer a full refund.
What happens if we cancel?
If you cancel 24 hours before your tour is due to depart we will give you a full refund.
Do you do shore excursions?
Yes we do. It depends how long you are at port in but contact us at bookings@cheekykiwitravel.com to be advised on which tours best suit your time frame.
Can I be dropped off somewhere else after the tour ends?
Yes we can drop you at any central hotel location.
Will we see a Kiwi bird?
Maybe. Sadly due to predation from larger animals the kiwi bird has become endangered. In an effort to help stabilize the population of kiwis most of our birds have been moved to predator free islands. Te puia in Rotorua have a breeding program where you can visit the kiwi house. Kiwi birds are nocturnal and like to be kept in a dark enclosure so they can be hard to spot in the shadows.
Do you have room for my luggage?
Yes we have room for luggage, There is enough room for one large case per person.
I haven't booked my hotel yet but can I still book?
Yes we will set your pick up location to a central easy to find location and notify you. If you want to amend your pick up location contact bookings@cheekykiwitravel.com
Can I change my hotel pick up location?
Yes we pick up from selected central hotel in Auckland CBD. Contact bookings@cheekykiwitravel.com.
Do tours still operate when it is raining?
The short answer yes. Unless there is risk of harm to people tours operate in all conditions.
What should I wear/bring?
Comfortable clothing, sensible footwear, a charging cable for your phone or camera, your e-ticket or booking confirmation number, a small amount of cash for lunch and souvenirs.
Also a rain jacket is a handy thing to have with you in New Zealand!
What if i'm not staying at one of your pick up locations?
Let us know where you are saying and we will set your pick up location to the nearest or easiest pick up point for you.
Do you cater for vegans/vegetarians?
Most cafes and eateries in New Zealand cater for vegetarians and vegans but if you can’t see anything on the menu just ask and most cafes are happy to accommodate.
