Hobbiton one way tour to Rotorua
We used this tour to see Hobbiton and reposition from Auckland to our next Airbnb in Rotorua. Our guide Geoff made the drive go by fast by telling us lots of information about the sights we passed and the country in general. Hobbiton is not to be missed, especially if you’re a fan of Lord of the Rings - but really interesting for almost anyone. This was our 2nd experience with the Cheeky team - you can’t go wrong with these guys!

highly recommended if you're short on time
I highly recommend this full day trip starting w a visit to the hobbiton movie set. We were so lucky it didn't rain until the very end of the day. No need to bring your breakfast or lunch as you can get it at the shires rest cafe, a huge range of food available and not expensive. Our driver, Matt, was super knowledgeable, helpful, professional and efficient. He even showed us things to do and places to visit when we arrived at Rotorua and pointed out where i needed to catch the intercity bus. Our next stop was wai-o-tapu the thermal wonderland. You have plenty of time to do the full walk around the geothermal park and take heaps of pictures, no need to rush. The track is clearly marked but there are a lot of stairs up and down if you do tracks 2 and 3. Theres a cafe and giftshop. A great day highly recommended, in fact i recommend any cheeky kiwi tour i have done quite a few and they're all friendly and professional.

Dave was awesome! We had originally only booked Hobbiton but he recommended adding on Te Puia and totally worth it. We left our jacket on the bus and he was able to facilitate getting it back to us.

Excellent road trip filled with fun facts and stories
Had a bit of a scare this morning as the pickup was late by 30min past original time. Despite this, I’d still rate the experience excellent. The team was responsive and emphatic, so it all worked out in the end. The tour experience was great, our guide Ben was friendly and attentive, with incredible knowledge of the history, nature, flora & fauna and legends around Rotorua, which made the road trip that much more enjoyable. Hobbiton was such a highlight to see the movie comes to life IRL, the town felt alive and real, and the interior of the Hobbit holes were extremely detailed, exquisite. Would recommend!

Excellent Tour and Outstanding Guide
The experience was very good. We really liked our guide, Liam, from the moment he picked us up, thanks to his friendliness, his help with our luggage, and his punctuality. The tour was excellent; Liam made an effort to share interesting information about the places we passed along the way. When we arrived at the Waitomo Caves, we really enjoyed the experience, and afterward we had the opportunity to visit an electrical substation that we didn’t know was part of the itinerary, which we also enjoyed very much. The transportation was very good and fast to our final destination.

A fab day out!
Had an absolutely fabulous time!! I went solo but the small group nature of the trip meant it was a great experience. Our tour guide Cam was incredible! So knowledgable about a huge variety of topics - from New Zealand history, farming, culture and much more!!! I’ve already booked my next cheeky kiwi tour!

Stunning views and informative guide!
Great drive and rich with luscious greenery. We really valued the info that Grant (our guide) offered and his helpful tips. There was the ability to opt in to the Te Puia experience, so give it a thought if you have the time. Grant showed us around town as well, giving us the sort of friendly service only a Kiwi could provide. Would definitely recommend and say that it is worth the money!

Memorable & Thankful experience
The tour started timely with our guide Simon picking us up at the meeting place at 6am. He's friendly and cheerful. He shared and chat with the guests who are from a diverse group such as US, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, etc. The drive was smooth & scenic and he always share with us what's ahead in advance before the next stop. He looks out for the guests and checked that everyone is present. We would also like to thank Simon for going the extra mile in dropping us at our hotel in Rotorua & helping to carry our luggages. The Waitimo caves is "wow, woo, ah...." just can't pinpoint any words to describe what I saw and felt there & then. I am glad to have been there to view such magnificent & iconic destination! Thank you for the constant reminders to us so as not to forget the activity & most importantly for the seamless coordination. Kudos to Simon & the team for doing a great job!

Milford Sound
The best day ever! We were picked up near our hotel and driven through absolutely stunning countryside with several stops along the way for photos, restrooms, coffe breaks. A delicious box lunch was served. We were able to get out and walk around several times. The Milford Sound trip was excellent. We boated out to the end of the sound at the edge of the Tasman Sea. The mountains are beautiful. Our guide shared interesting information about the countryside as we travelled through the region.

Fantastic Milford Sound tour with great guide
We had an amazing experience with Cheeky Kiwi on the Milford Sound tour. Our driver Raghav was excellent — very friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole trip enjoyable. There were multiple photo stops along the way, which made the journey just as beautiful as the destination. The lunch box was a good portion and well prepared. Unfortunately our return flight was cancelled due to strong wind, but the team handled it professionally and we received a refund without any issues. Overall a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

Highlight of my trip
I had an amazing trip to Milford sound with cheeky kiwi! I was a solo traveller and the group size was lovely and welcoming. Our tour guide Glen was the best too. He told great stories along the way, and kept the atmosphere fun with good music and jokes. Not to mention the views were spectacular. Highlight of my trip so far!

This was an awesome experience. It was seamless everything ran like clockwork and we were never rushed. The guide/driver Glen was absolutely brilliant and knowledgeable but not to the point where you think please stop talking. He made time for everyone chatting and answering our questions. Glen was brilliant. He got us to our boat on Milford sound perfectly on time giving us clear instructions. He then showed us to our pilot for our return trip. Sad to say good bye! The mini van ride was very comfortable and lunch delicious. Glen even changed my dietary requirements at the last minute because I forgot. Highly recommend this company. Milford Sound
Our tour to Milford Sound with Danny is one of the highlights of our New Zealand adventures. Danny started our tour with a friendly hello early in the morning. He made sure that all passengers were comfortable and settled and then he invited us to introduce ourselves to each other. This simple process set the tone for a sense of connection and fun during the whole (long) day. Milford Sound was incredible. It was well worth booking this day long tour. The countryside and towns on the trip were intriguing. Danny heightened our experience by sharing his curated soundtrack and even included fun games to meld the group and keep our spirits up. Rainy Day Milford Sound-ed terrible...until we saw it!
We had booked the coach, cruise, fly tour, with us (me especially) being very excited to jump on a small plane for the scenic flight back to Queenstown. Alas, we had unfortunately picked a very, very rainy day, which meant the flight was cancelled. In every situation there is a positive, and our breaths were absolutely taken away by Milford Sound in full wet weather splendour! Cascading water falls, clouds hugging the cliffs, calm but dark seas. It was simply stunning. The drive to Milford itself was also a feast for the eyes, and we can't thank our guide and driver Jess enough for her expertise, knowledge and care in ensuring our trip ran smoothly, as well as instilling a lot of outstanding NZ knowledge into us! We will absolutely be back, as I definitely want to fly into and out of Milford. But I cannot fault anything with how our day went regardless.

Fabulous Milford Sound day trip with Cheeky Kiwi
Every part of the day ran on time and was beautifully managed. From pick up to drop off not a hitch. Abby from Cheeky Kiwi is a gem and was a wonderful guide. A small group of 13 in a comfy van, lots of stops and interesting information. Made the journey in easy. Lunchboxes included from Alpine Cafe were delicious. The hand off to Cruise Milford for the cruise of the Sound and later to Glenorchy Air for the flight back, was flawless. Highly recommend!

OMG what a fantastic trip
Luxury transport with an excellent guide. Amazing scenery to see via the drive as well as during the boat tour. The highlight being our flight. Great views over the mountains. Only small negative was packed lunch, which was a bit basic and needs improvement. Otherwise I would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing views.
This was an awesome activity. It was me and my hubby. We enjoyed every single minute of it. We decided to do the 3.5 hr trail. We stopped several times for pics. It took us almost 4 hours as we stopped for a quick beer at a local brewery. The scenery was incredibly beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Great Tour, Except for the Weather
We booked this tour with the optional flight back to Queenstown, but the flight was cancelled due to bad weather and we rode back in the van. This was disappointing, but we were prepared for this possibility and the operator refunded the price difference immediately and without prompting. The tour itself is great, with beautiful scenery throughout and a fantastic guide (Jeff), who kept us entertained and engaged for the entire day. It was sunny on the east side of the coastal mountains but Milford Sound was rainy and foggy. We understand that this weather is common, so future travelers - dont expect the postcard-perfect views of the Sound as are often shown. Even with a steady and sometimes hard rain, we enjoyed the cruise.

Just the most fabulous day out
What can I say - a wonderful day out from Queenstown to Milford Sound exploring and experiencing some of the most beautiful places on the planet . Everything about the trip was first class - the minibus driver ( gawd I forget his name!!) ; the stops ; the cruise along Milford Sound and the flight home in a light aircraft . Best day out ever !

Gorgeous views & great guide - a wonderful day in Fiordland
This tour was first rate. Comfortable ride, nice packed lunch, good company. And the Fiordland National Park and Milford Sound are spectacular. We started out very early in the rain from Queenstown, but our guide Benny assured us that going to Milford Sound on a rainy day was not a bad thing. And he could not have been more right. The way the waterfalls grew in number and intensity throughout the day was breathtaking. Truly a day to remember. And being dropped in Te Anau at the end of the day (instead of going all the way back to Queenstown) gave me a chance to wander a bit and see some sights in Te Anau.

FUN AND FULFILMENT WITH CHEEKY KIWIS
We had a wonderful experience which was very much as a result of the tour drivers which you allocated to our trips. They were all different in character but equally were all friendly, knowledgeable about the countryside through which we were travelling and above all professional in their approach to their tasks. Comfort breaks were offered regularly which was much appreciated. We also enjoyed the tours where my wife and I had the mini bus and driver to ourselves. Having said that fellow travellers on other occasions was much appreciated and enjoyed. All in all the tours all met or exceeded our expectations. Fun

An interesting journey with a great guide.
I did a small group Milford Sound tour from Queenstown with Cheeky Kiwi. I’ve met A LOT of guides during my travels, most of them were pretty good. Our guide Danny was one of the best. He made the long journey pleasant with many interesting facts about the country, was very organised and funny, and even prepared some games and trivia quizzes to make our day better. He mentioned he was in finance before. I don’t know about that, but I know he was born to be a great tour guide! Thank you Cheeky Kiwi!

Great Day at Milford Sound
Colin was our driver/guide for our tour to Te Anau and Milford Sound. We had a great time on all of the stops and Colin was a wealth of good information and just a very nice fellow. We want to make a special call out and thank to him for taking the time to return the travel pillow we left on the van when he dropped us off. We really appreciate him for doing that. Excellent trip to see Milford Sound
We booked onto the trip short-notice and were so glad that we did! Shura was an excellent guide who is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. I particularly loved to learn about botany and birds. She made the long drive fly by! The organisation of the trip was seamless and the cruise of Milford magical.

Jason and Angelo took us on a day trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound. They were fantastic hosts and guides , providing a very enjoyable and informative day full of interest, fun and a deep appreciation of the sublime landscape we travelled through Jason’s personable approach and his local knowledge was a real highlight , making the day relaxed and enjoyable despite the ambitious agenda . The small group tour is an excellent way to engage with this overwhelmingly glorious landscape.

The tour and the itinerary were very well designed and Rob is a friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. I am so glad I listened to his recommendation on adding a plane + copter combo to the itinerary, and he arranged it impromptu. I would highly recommend this tour.

Day Tour to Mt Cook
Great tour! The tour guide Rob was fantastic! He knew all the best spots and told us a lot of history/fun facts along the way. This was a great day tour to Mt Cook and I would highly recommend it.

Good time. The itinerary seemed challenging but in the end was very manageable and fun.
I was a bit afraid as I am pregnant and the itinerary said 3 hours of walks and I was scared but they ended up dropping us off at two easy walks - Hooker Valley and Tasman Glacier Lake for 1 hour each time. They picked us up and dropped us to the next location and a Cafe stop at the end for a rest break. It was perfect and not too difficult, a 70 year old couple also in my tour seemed alright to do it. The more fit people could go ahead to do more if they wanted and attempt the steeper walks. The snacks provided were simple nut bars and chips and water but really plentiful and helped us to keep energised. The stops they chose were excellent, the driving was not too long in between. The ice cream at the orchard was really excellent and fruity, I got the yoghurt one and really delicious and fresh. The salmon farm is fun but the prices were a bit high, but you don't have to buy any salmon. I did like the Creamy chicken pie but I dunno if it was the best in NZ. The ice cream really probably was. The tour guide was overall good. Nice guy, from the UK funnily. His stories were more detailed than another tour guide I had. He didn't talk too much and this allowed us to rest in the van a little which was good. My only disappointment is in the itinerary it said "Lake pukaki is known for lotr shoots and we will point this out to you" and the guide did not know these spots. Also, not due to the tour company but the weather wasn't good for the view. There were too many low clouds to see the mountains. If you see a cloudy day I might recommend trying a different day as the mountains are really what you want to see. Overall still fun and a good time though.

Beautiful Trails, Great Guide, and Stunning Views
We went on the Mt. Cook tour today and had a fantastic experience overall. The entire route was incredibly scenic, and we really enjoyed both trails—the Hooker Valley Track and the Tasman Glacier Walk. Each walk offered stunning views and was well worth it. Our guide, Jess (Jessica) was excellent—she explained everything clearly and shared interesting history and details about each place we visited, which made the journey even more enjoyable. Ending the tour with ice cream was a lovely touch and a perfect way to wrap up the day. All in all, it was a really well-organized and memorable tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great experience highly recommend
Really good experience with a lot of good stops on the way there and back. Stopped for toilet many times, cafe with great sausage roll, many photo opportunities beyond what was listed on Viator - nice surprise. Our tour guide was Chris and he was extremely knowledgeable and I found that the way he presented the information was highly engaging. Was great that it was a small group tour which I didn’t expect. Description was slightly unclear as to whether the hooker track would be an option (to only walk the part that is open) - it ended up being only Tasman glacier as our stop which was still great but could have been clearer on the description. Feedback is that some stops were rushed e.g. 20 mins at the orchard, high country salmon Overall highly enjoyable and would recommend.

The tour guide was very friendly and kind. She helped me book my trip back from Mt. Cook to Queenstown, even though I had trouble booking it online. She enthusiastically drove us to many hikes around the Mt. Cook area and pointed out which ones were worth visiting. She was also kind enough to drop me off at my hostel. I’m looking forward to watching her movie. It was amazing to hear her story, moving from Russia and transitioning from being a farmer to becoming a tour guide. Unfortunately, I forgot her name, I’m not very good with names, but I sincerely wish her all the best in life.

The best ride!
Very comfortable ride and great commentary about the areas. The photo opportunity stops and rest breaks were nice and evenly spaced. The only downside was the I had to take another vendor from Christchurch TO Mt. Cook (I traveled one way from Christchurch to Queenstown, with an overnight stop in Mt Cook village)!

Wonderful tour
Tour guide Marry was excellent at storytelling. During the journey, she shared the story of Matakauri, which was truly touching. She also provided information about Arrowtown and Queenstown, and gave informative answers to our questions about possums. The tour was well-organised and everything ran on time.

No stress trip from Mount Cook to Queenstown!

The van picked us up with our luggage at our hotel in Queenstown. We drove through the beautiful countryside with opportunities to get out of the van for photo opportunities. Our guide stopped at clean restrooms along the way. The hike up to view Mt. Cook and the glacier was a welcome exercise. Our guide changed after Mt. Aussies exciting Day with Cheeky Kiwi
From speaking with Cheeky Kiwi reception, Matilda, for a suitable date (Booking.com wasn't working) I had complete confidence we would be looked after. Flying home from Christchurch & being in Queenstown we were excited to be seeing Mt Cook, Lake Tekapo & the country in between. Our 2 drivers were exceptional with their commentary, answering questions, advising of comfort & food stops & looking after passengers. I've since heard more from others who've travelled with Cheeky Kiwi & must complement you on the great reputation you are building.

Amazing mountain scenery!
Another great day with Cheeky Kiwi. We had perfect weather, although a bit foggy when arriving at Mt Cook, but it totally cleared up. Our guide Josef from Queenstown to Mt Cook was awesome, going above and beyond to make sure I could do the helicopter flight I eventually decided to do thanks to this perfect weather, AND still be able to do the two short hikes (if I walked fast, which I did!). We then switched vans and drivers and the two ladies were also nice, with lots of explanations along the way. It is a very long drive with no stops and not much to see after Lake Tekapo. But that's how it is! This was my 4th day trip with them, and I highly recommend it, very professional, very informative, comfortable rides, time to stop and take photos, snacks and (most of the time) lunch provided, nice atmosphere with people of all ages and nationalities. A great experience for solo travelers!

Went with my mom. A very good choice for traveling from Queenstown to Christchurch, save some money meanwhile got a chance to hike Mt. Cook for around 2 hours. Special thanks to Grant and Benj, our drivers, very responsible, very knowledgeable and super professional! One family of our group members has some communication problems with their agency ( booked the wrong time for helicopter, and couldn’t find their accommodation) ; both of the drivers chose to place the rest of us at the scenic area (to let us do our sightseeing), then went back to the minibus helped solving the problem—— everyone got what they wanted, a win-win situation. Excellent. Bus arrived on time at hotel for punctual departure. Guide Amanda was very friendly and helpful. She was happy to join us on walks and explained instructions clearly ie where we needed to be and at what time to depart. Change over of drivers was seamless at lunchtime. Amazing Drive with Stunning Scenery
Beautiful opportunity to incorporate a tour into a transfer from Queenstown to Christchurch. Our tour guide, Dean drove the first leg to Mt Cook. He was friendly, super knowledgeable and warm. Lots of great information. The scenery (albeit rainy) was magnificent with stunning landscapes. We did 2 hikes, and loved them both. Drivers were switched and then Joe drove the final leg to Christchurch. A lovely young guide who provided great information. Lake Tekopa was stunning. It was a long day but so worth it. Joe dropped us off right at our AirBNB. Super impressed with the company and the guides. We’d highly recommend them!

Fun Road Trip with Great Guides and Fellow Passengers
I had a great trip down to Queenstown with Cheeky Kiwi. Our tour guides, Yanmis and Joe, were both awesome! Both shared insightful stories about landmarks and sights as we passed. We took plenty of breaks and had time to take pictures, grab snacks, and do small hikes. Both guides were helpful, entertaining, and fun to travel with. I'd definitely recommend this as an option to explore New Zealand without having to rent a car and drive yourself. Thanks again guys!

Had a great day. Picked up on time from my hotel. Mt Cook National Park was stunning. Did the Tasman Glacier look out walk and the Kea Point track. Plenty of other stops on the way too. The two drivers (think it was Jay and Jonathan) provided commentary throughout and displayed that kiwi humour and wit. A great way to see a beautiful part of the country.

Felix and Nick were great guides. Though we had a rainy day at Mount Cook, Felix was accommodating and offered alternative activities for guests to enjoy. Transition also between transportation was smooth. Lastly, the transportations were spacious and comfortable though it was packed. Will definitely recommend.

This tour was honestly just incredible! They picked me up from my hotel in a fancy van and we saw some amazing photo stops up to Mt Cook. They took me to see the Tasman Glacier and also some of the Hooker Valley track. The end is closed because they are building a new bridge but the bit we did was awesome! The guide was so helpful and friendly. Really good company.

This was a great trip. I highly recommend the full day experience if going to be in Auckland for only a short time as gives a picture of Auckland and it's surroundings. For some travelers, it might even help to decide more in depth adventures to take. This was my second trip with Simon in a week. He is absolutely great!!!! He provided great commentary on the things visited, made certain all in group were engaged. In our group, we decided what places to go/see based on options he noted. Oh yes, although I don't drink coffee, those who do enjoyed the place he selected.

The Best Guide in Auckland - Pearl is Amazing!
We had an incredible experience with Pearl. Even though we were part of a group tour, she made the entire trip feel like a private, VIP experience. A really nice tour, our Guide Grant was fab. I really enjoyed our stop at the black sand beach, breathtakingly beautiful. Davenport is a cute little town, Mt. Eden wonderful. The place we had lunch at was very cool - it was outdoors with a beach-modern feel to it. This was my 5th Cheeky Kiwi tour in 2 weeks and I have loved them all. I go on another tomorrow! I’m a solo traveler and I’m so grateful for their dedication to making sure I’m enjoying myself. For not canceling tours when not at capacity (I’m traveling during the off-season). I can easily say they have been a big part of how amazing my trip has been.

Great solo experience with a fantastic guide
I joined the tour as a solo traveler and English is not my first language, but Ben made everything easy and enjoyable. He was very warm and enthusiastic, and he kept sharing interesting stories throughout the trip. There were nine people in our group, and everyone had a great time. Cheeky Kiwi are the way to go for a truly fun day out!
Where to start with this grear value tour. Sun; sea and seemingly endless fun! Ben our tour guide and driver set the tone for the day with his jovial, high sprited demeanor; even st 6.15am when he arrived at my hotel. What greeted us on a warm white sand beach after a two houe drive was like a scene from a movie. Well as Ben informed us, the stunning Cathederal Cove location was used in the film Narnia. Numerous photo captures and videos later we progressed onto the Hot Water sand each with bucket and spade in hand to dig our very own hot pool to la languish in only 20 to 30 metres in from the sea shore. Amazingly hot water gushes up from the sand after only digging a few feet. It's a fab communal activity and great for team/group bonding. Then one can go for a refeshing dip in the inviting ocean afterwards (Don't forget your swimwear) Overall this tour is truly the best way to spend the dsy if looking to book a tour and Cheeky Kiwi are the way to go for the all round fun experience. Highly recommended.

A lovely day tour to Coromandel
Had a great time on this small group tour to the Coromandel Peninsula. Pearl was a fabulous guide, I especially appreciated the group text to keep us up to date on everything. The hike to Cathedral cove was a challenge, but beautiful and the hot water beach was crazy chaos. It was a long day that ended in ice cream with stunning nature in between.

Wonderful Tour
Over all great two days. Vicki was a wonderful tour guide. FUNNY, helpful, knowledgeable and overall great person! Every stop was interesting.... some more so. Hobbiton was amazing and well organized. Huka Fall and the river wre beautiful. Overnight in Rotorua, very nice town. We wound up at the Night Market and were over powered with delicious food smells! We would highly recommend this tour.... and if you are lucky, have Vicki as your guide.

Cheeky John is the best!
We traveled with John for 2 day tour. He was wonderful, enabling us to get the more than we planned with many impromptu stops as time permitted. He was knowledgeable and if he didn't know the answers , researched and shared them later. He was fun and thoughtful. We had a health challenge which he made adaptations for. A fully impact on 2 days
Ride with Jeff. Lol! He was a great host. If you only have a short time in the country and want to see a lot this is the way to go no need to look for transportation or lodging it's all included in this trip. Make sure you got on some good walking shoes and be prepared to be bursting with excitement. The buses are used are pretty small but we were extra small on our tour which gave us a lot of time to see a lot more things with the smaller crowds. This is definitely best for short trips.

Two days of jaw dropping magical experiences
The tour guide Pearl, went above & beyond. The sites were jaw dropping amazing. Hobbiton was so magical. The glow worm caves were spectacular. We enjoyed stopping in Rotorua, swimming in the thermal pool and stopping to wade in the warm thermal stream. The geothermal pools were a feast of incredible, natural beauty. Pearl was so helpful and anticipated our every need. The two day tour packed in a lot with extra stops of interest! We loved it and I would highly recommend it! Cheeky Kiwi Travel certainly provided us a safe trip out to The Hobbiton movie set, by Nickey. This was an anticipated destination for my husband while we visited New Zealand. We very much enjoyed the countryside on our way to & back from the Hobbiton movie set, and the tour on site of the Alexander Farm was truly fun & enjoyed. It provided our first full day in Auckland with a lovely memory. If you’re looking for something a bit different… then take in this tour. The “Shire” is so cute and interesting!!!

Amazing, even on a stormy day
Amazing trip! Even on a very rainy day our tour guide filled us with positive energy. Our guide gave us an overview into everyday life in New Zealand and how our trip was going to look like. The tour at Hobbiton which was operated by the local Hobbiton guide was great! He told us about small secrets of hobbit holes and all kinds of different ways the area was utilised during filming. Had a complimentary drink at the Green Dragon and also due to construction work happening at the site we got ''compensated'' with an amazing Green Dragon steins. This was very kind of them. On the way back we got even closer to our original driver who offered us some cassava chips and told us more about the history and legends of the local people. Also got to stop to try the famous New Zealand ice cream and try the Hokey Pokey flavour. Overall the tour was a 10/10 and would definitely reccomend it to every Middle-Earth fans like us.

A MUST do excursion when visiting New Zealand
Honestly, it's a 10/10 trip! Simon our 'Cheeky Kiwi' was great, super friendly and knowledgeable about New Zealand. He was great at engaging with the tour group. Loved our chats about British telly, made the 2 hour bus journey fly passed. The Hobbiton film set tour was amazing, 2 1/2 hours and we loved every minute. Plenty of time to take pictures and embrace the Hobbit environment. Big thumbs up to our tour guide Mike, really knows his 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Hobbit' facts, shows he loves his craft. The cafe was great, the pies are a must and we loved the drinks in the Green Dragon at the end.

Highlight of my New Zealand Trip
Wow, this was an amazing excursion for me. Just loved being on the set of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Grant our guide was very knowledgeable of Auckland and gave great information en route. The cafe there had great pies and cakes. The best part was being able to visit the inside of a hobbits cottage. How quaint and cosy and I could just move in and live in the beautiful Hobbiton Village. Long travel to get there but it was so worth it. Love Loved it! A need to do if loved the movies.

Our guide, Grant, was fantastic and full of useful information along the way and included a few tips to get the most out of the tour around Hobbiton. Lovely guide ( Liam ), lovely tour!
This was my first time taking a tour, and it was such a fantastic experience! Our guide Liam was so helpful , funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Travelling together with him and the people on the bus was such a joy. The entire experience was amazing, it was a bonus in not having to drive or find parking etc. Liam was super organised, parked, got us all our tix.. made sure none of us were lost and that all of us had a fabulous time. Our driver Vicky is great. She comments well on the trip, drives nickel and has a lot of humor 👍🏻 The sights visited are amazing. It made me want to come back and visit more things with this coach company. Vicky gave us lots of tips to go eat and cared about our comfort. Perhaps the only downside is the hotel. Old, ugly, not very clean. Restaurant buffet bof.

Great Tour for Short Visit
Our family just returned from a short one week visit to the North Island. We wanted to pack as much in as possible, and this was the perfect tour to do it. On the first leg of the trip there were 11 people total. However, coming back, it was just our family since most of them stayed in Rotorua. Our tour guide, Jeff, was so informative and accommodating. At each stop, he gave us tips in order to maximize our stay there. The vans were very comfortable and had charging ports in every row. It was nice not having to drive so we can rest in between stops. Jeoff also was understanding of what the kids might enjoy on the way back. He realized that the gardens may not be as interesting to them and suggested that we do what we wanted to do. He took us to the best ice cream spot on the way back to Auckland. And per our request, took us to a beach with a beautiful lookout point. We highly recommend Cheeky Kiwi. The tour was a highlight during our stay there and it proves why New Zealand is so magical. Thank you Jeoff for making our trip one we will always remember.

Wonderful 2-day solo trip with a small tour group!
This two-day trip was amazing from beginning to end, especially for a solo traveler! The driver/tour guide arrived promptly on time at the designated pick-up site. He then offered safety tips, which I wasn't expecting but realized were very important! (And gratefully we didn't need!) The trip to the first stop was peppered with quiet time (it was a 6am start), and information, and a lovely breakfast stop. Wonderful tales and information all along the way. And whatever questions he couldn't answer, he found answers to. We visited the Waitomo Cave glow worms, Hobbiton, and Rotorua the first day, and the geothermal park, Huka Falls, and Hamilton Gardens the next day. We even had extra stops like ice cream and a swinging bridge over the dam. It was the perfect combination of exactly what I wanted to experience in the time I had available to me for the experience. Each site was so wonderful I could have stayed all day. But my own time didn't allow it, and Cheeky Kiwi had it all figured out to help me experience it all, in style! Thanks to Ben for being such an awesome and cheerful guide, and to my tour mates who were the best group to tour with, which is important at a solo traveler!

An amazing day trip adventure from Auckland with a wonderful guide
We had such a fun trip to the Coromandel Peninsula! Our guide Liam was excellent from the moment he picked us up to when he dropped us off. As we drove, he shared so much about the local areas, their flora and fauna, Maori culture and more. He was very knowledgeable and his commentary meant that the journey flew by. My highlight was hot water beach. Liam dug us a hole to put our feet in and it was crazy how hot the water was. It was so nice to run between the sea and the hot water pool. Couldn't recommend this tour highly enough.

We took a day trip to Cathedral Cove, Hahei beach and Hot Water Beach with family from Auckland and we were visiting from Washington DC. Simon was our tour operator and did a tremendous job. He’s an engaging and knowledgeable guide, truly a hoot to hang out with. It is also worth noting that, as much of the time is spent in a bus that Simon is driving, that he is clearly a safe and attentive driver of said bus. We had an excellent day experiencing some of the many wonders of New Zealand, we learned a lot, and felt that we received quite the bargain for our vacation dollar. Bravo!

Exceptional & Genuine
Dave was an exceptional guide. We saw so many beautiful vistas and had so many great hikes. It'll definitely be a big highlight of my NZ trip. It was so lovely how he took such good care of us 🥰 He kept us on track and crammed in so much on our tour!

The guide Hanzo (?) was amazing. He had a lot of fan fucts and funny commentary on the way. Scenery was great and stops for lunch and coffee were cozy and hit the spot perfectly. The bus was in great condition with ac. If there is one thing to change, maybe shorter time at Hot water beach and longer at Carhedral Cove as some people needed a bit more time to get there. For me (moderatly fit) it was 20min down to the beach and 40min, with stop for ice cream, back up.

A great day out from Auckland.
An excellent day out from Auckland. Our host Ben was friendly, and extremely informative. He made the day fun! It was a long day but the time flew with plenty of stops for toilets and food. Cathedral Cove is beautiful. The trip is suitable for all ages but a good level of fitness is needed due to the steps down at the end of the path. However if you do not want to walk back up the 152 steps there was a water taxi available for the return for a small fee. Lots to do at the cove either swim or just relax on a sandy beach and take in the view. We ate our picnic lunch on the beach. Perfect. Our mixed group of 7 was all solos. Our host made sure all of us had the best time. Once again thank you to Ben I would recommend this trip. The tour is good value for money too.
