The departure time and itinerary for this tour differ slightly depending on the season you are travelling.
- Summer (1st October - 30th April): Travel to Arthur's Pass on the bus and return on the Tranzalpine train, arriving back in Christchurch at approx 7:30pm.
- Winter (1st May - 30th September): Travel to Arthur's Pass on the Tranzalpine train and return on the bus, arriving back in Christchurch at approx 5:00pm.
