Great way to see much of South Island

Great tour! Allowed us to explore much of South Island. Our guides (Grant and Mitch from Christchurch to Mt. Cook and Andy from Mt. Cook to Queenstown) were excellent and brought different things to the table ---Grant with his extensive experience and knowledge of geology, Mitch with his youthful energy, and Andy with his chill and fun but informative approach. They were very safe drivers as well. And, of course, the sights were AMAZING! All in one day we got to see lakes, rivers, mountains, rolling hills, flatlands, fields and plateaus. We got treated to all sorts of weather from sun to rain to snow! Itinerary was well-organized and paced just rignt. Ride was comfortable and accommodared our pieces of luggage well. Highly recommended!

Unexpectation tour

It was a nice trip with Cheeky kiwi team. I visted the valuable destination and heard helpful information. Food also are available for visitor. I wish we could stop more station to take picture. Thank you for your trip.

Incredible experience

Very good experience. They stop at all the beautiful places during the tour so you can see and photograph them. The mountain is also beautiful. In one day you see a lot of places.

WoW!!

I travelled with Cheeky Kiwi Travel on the Mount Cook trip with a drop off in Queenstown, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. I am terrible at remembering names, so unfortunately I cannot mention everyone individually, but the entire morning crew were brilliant. What really stood out to me was how genuinely passionate they were about their jobs and about New Zealand. They did not simply drive us from one place to another. They shared stories, explained the history and culture, and even spoke openly about some of the challenges New Zealand has faced and how the country has worked through them. The amount of information and storytelling throughout the journey was incredible. You could genuinely feel that they love what they do and are proud to share their country with visitors. The second part of the journey was equally enjoyable. Our guide(Lady) was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and passionate, and took every opportunity to explain things and make the journey interesting. Overall, what impressed me most was how happy and passionate the entire team seemed to be doing their jobs. That makes such a difference to the experience. I would absolutely recommend Cheeky Kiwi Travel 10/10. Thank you to the entire team for making the journey so memorable! 🇳🇿❤️

Best get booking

From the pick up to to drop off, what an amazing crew, the van was warm and comfortable lots of onboard snacks and great commentary, few changes in schedule due to weather but I was not once disappointed with the plan. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Highly Recommended for Unforgettable Memories.

Hands down the best decision we made for our South Island trip! Traveling one-way from Christchurch to Queenstown with an infant, a toddler, and a teenager felt like a massive logistical challenge on paper, but Cheeky Kiwi made it completely effortless and deeply memorable for every single one of us.The itinerary pacing was absolute perfection. The frequent, well-timed stops—from the vibrant blue shores of Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd to the majesty of Aoraki / Mt Cook and the High Country Salmon farm—meant the little ones never got restless, while our teenager was genuinely blown away by the landscapes. The van was modern, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with plenty of room for all our family gear. What truly set the experience apart was our guide’s warmth, patience, and engaging storytelling. They made our family feel completely welcomed, accommodated our needs with zero fuss, and let us simply sit back and soak in the views without the stress of navigating alpine roads. GUIDE CUM DRIVER JASON ROCKS!!

Our driver cum guide JASON is the absolute best! The highway from Christchurch to Queenstown was closed because of an accident. Jason looked for alternative routes so that we will be able to get to Queenstown on time. The alternative route was a very narrow gravel road and a steep drop to the valley below will have disastrous consequences. Jason navigated the van very skillfully and we were all safe and sound.

Experience it like you are with friends!

We went on the Christchurch to Queenstown via Mt Cook and had such a wonderful time! I LOVE all the information they tell us about the towns and surroundings. It is an experience you get from friends instead of just tour guides. Thank you Grant and Jess! Amazing day and fantastic people.

Best ever guided tour!

The journey was long but CK really made it enjoyable! Loved the small group concept with the black vans (comfortable and yet nimble) coupled with fantastic driver / guide that made the journey even better. Would definitely sign up with CK again every next opportunity!
