Great 1 day trip by Cheeky Kiwi Travel

Amazing sights. Mount Cook National Park is an amazing, stunning place. Kudos to the tour guide, Renee . Suggestion to make the stay at Mount Cook a half an hour longer. That would have been the sweet spot.

Simply stunning! Outstanding guide Renee.

Was a long day, a lot of traveling, but was so worth it. Lake Tekapo was stunning, but Mount Cook and everything around was a different level. One of the most incredible places I’ve ever been to. I’ve got to say the journey was made all the more tolerable and the whole experience all the more enjoyable by our outstanding guide Renee. I noticed what a precise careful driver she was, despite giving us really interesting and informative commentary through her head set. She took great care, no risks (unlike some of the nut jobs). She was a very bubbly, enthusiastic, smiley, helpful guide. Nothing was too much. I felt at ease all the time because of her absolute professionalism. A very big thank you, for making our day one that will live very long in the memory.

Highly recommended

Our guide was polite & provided a lot of important sight-related information while she drove us as we passed through different places enroute Aoraki/Cook, lake Tekapo, lake Pukaki etc. The lunch and snacks provided were good as well. The vehicle was comfortable. The sights were of course mesmerizing. Would definitely recommend the route for a 1 day trip with Cheeky Kiwi. Thanks.

Great experience!

Absolutely lovely tour! Jay was fantastic and we were so very well taken care of! Full disclosure which has nothing to do with the Cheeky Kiwi- this is a VERY popular destination and absolutely covered in tourists. Think the Uffizi museum in Florence. That said, we had 13 folks in our group and it was wonderful. We learned a great deal, saw an amazing amount, and did it in incredible comfort. Thank you so much for showing us this slice of your beautiful country.

An incredible act of kindness – thank you Cheeky Kiwi!

Yesterday, I joined a day tour with Cheeky Kiwi and unfortunately lost a child‘s backpack at Lake Tekapo. It contained several important items, and honestly, I didn’t expect to see it again — Tekapo is such a busy place with people coming and going. I mentioned this to Natalie from Cheeky Kiwi, and although I wasn‘t very hopeful, she immediately offered to help. She contacted Jay and asked him to go back to the lake to search for the bag. This morning, Jay found it — and not only that, he went out of his way to deliver it to our next hotel, which was about 200–300 kilometers away from where we lost it. I was truly surprised and deeply touched by their kindness. This experience meant so much to me. A huge thank you to Natalie and Jay, and to the whole Cheeky Kiwi team. You showed us the heart of New Zealand. ❤️

Most enjoyable

Definitely know you're going for 13 hours, but it's exactly what it needs to be. You see so many sites, get a jumpstart into local culture and have the opportunity to explore the mountains as you wish. Shout out to Joel and Renee!

豔陽高照的庫克山

司機兼領隊非常仔細介紹，讓這次旅程體驗很好。今日很幸運看到叫做日暈（Halo）是一種高空冰晶折射陽光形成的大氣光學現象。沒有規畫塔斯曼冰河健行，就走Tasman Glacier 步道登頂看美景吧！來回1.5公里爬升110公尺而已，可以看見Blue Lake的景致，往上走可以和冰河合照。 Hooker Valley Track胡克山谷步道名列世界遺產，最著名與親民的健行步道，因為2025年洪水損壞，目前只能走到第二座吊橋後，重新修復後預計今年5月重新開放。因為時間有限只走到第一個吊橋，能夠近距離觀賞Mueller Glacier穆勒冰川和Mount Cook庫克山真的好美。

Beautiful day around Mt. Cook

My husband and I really enjoyed the day. Our guide, Grant, was very knowledgeable about the geology of the area. He kept us entertained on the drive too. We made many short, yet adequately timed stops. Lunch and snacks were appreciated. Long yet enjoyable day!

Enjoyed our tour

Grant was a great guide and he was very full of information. It was rainy most of the day but we still enjoys the tour because Grant made a few extra side stops so we could see other viewpoints.
