A wonderful experience

A total feast for the eyes!!!

A brilliant day…well worth the early start and long drive. The drive was comfortable and the views were amazing with the ever changing landscape. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. We were very lucky with the weather so the colour of Lake Tekapo was stunning and Mount Cook looked so majestic. I would have liked longer at both locations as Lake Tekapo was literally a quick photo stop, but we knew that before we went, and would still recommend it!!! WONDERFUL!!!!

An amazing trip

Our trip was absolutely amazing. While the scenery was beautiful and the bus was comfortable, the highlight was undoubtedly our guide. He was so knowledgeable and easy-going that the time seemed to fly by. This is a trip I would highly recommend to anyone.

Great trip to Mount Cook

Wow! What a great day! Our tour guide, Cosmo, was outstanding. He shared his knowledge about: geography, culture, plant life, history, farming, mountain climbing- you name it- with us. The trip was long, but totally worthwhile. He also made sure that we kept on schedule and had 2 hours to hike in the national park. An overall great experience that I highly recommend!

Great experience despite the weather

We had poor weather conditions—which happens. So no great views of Mt Cook but our guide helped everyone regardless of ability or interests have a great experience.

Would highly recommend to others !

I joined a day tour from Christchurch to Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo, and it turned out to be such a memorable experience for me ! Although the skies were a little gloomy, our guide, Grant, truly made the entire day shine. He was thoughtful, attentive, and ensured that everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of. It’s clear that he is passionate about what he does, and that passion really elevated the experience for all of us. As I was travelling solo and did not rent a car, this tour was incredibly convenient and stress-free. It allowed me to take in the stunning landscapes without worrying about navigation or logistics. I’m truly grateful for such a well-run tour and for Grant’s dedication to making sure we had the best possible day. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting New Zealand, especially solo travellers looking for a comfortable and enriching way to explore these iconic sights.

Great 1 day trip by Cheeky Kiwi Travel

Amazing sights. Mount Cook National Park is an amazing, stunning place. Kudos to the tour guide, Renee . Suggestion to make the stay at Mount Cook a half an hour longer. That would have been the sweet spot.

Simply stunning! Outstanding guide Renee.

Was a long day, a lot of traveling, but was so worth it. Lake Tekapo was stunning, but Mount Cook and everything around was a different level. One of the most incredible places I’ve ever been to. I’ve got to say the journey was made all the more tolerable and the whole experience all the more enjoyable by our outstanding guide Renee. I noticed what a precise careful driver she was, despite giving us really interesting and informative commentary through her head set. She took great care, no risks (unlike some of the nut jobs). She was a very bubbly, enthusiastic, smiley, helpful guide. Nothing was too much. I felt at ease all the time because of her absolute professionalism. A very big thank you, for making our day one that will live very long in the memory.
