For fans of the Hobbiton and not!

Great tour to Hobbiton and Waitomo Caves. Cheeky Micheal was a great driver and guide. Picked up on time at our hotel. Stopped at a local cafe for brekkie can recommend the boysenberry sticky pudding. Hobbiton was so beautiful and really amazing to see where they filmed scenes from LOTR. So cool to walk through the hobbit homes that they have recently included. Lunch included which was good and big portions, thanks Thirsty Weta. Waitomo caves was beautiful. Recommend for those who don’t want to drive as quite some distance on the road with windy parts! Overall enjoyable day.

Awesome tour

Liam was phenomenal. He was so knowledgeable and I left this tour learning so much about the history and culture. Hobbiton has always been on my bucket list and it was an amazing day. The glow worm cave was spectacular, it’s like you’re in a whole new galaxy, a different kind of stars. My last full day in New Zealand was well worth it with this tour.

A long day but worth it

We had an excellent tour to Hobbiton and then the Glowworm caves . Pick up from our hotel was on time and in a comfortable, air conditioned minibus. Our Guide , Matt was so entertaining and informative that the long journey to get to Hobbiton, through beautiful scenery, was enjoyable. Once there Matt arranged the tickets and our start time while we had coffee and a restroom opportunity! Also time for a second breakfast if wanted . The tour through Hobbiton was amazing and everything I hoped for . We even went in a hobbit hole . Lots of photo opportunities. The attention to detail is incredible. That part of the tour finished with a beer ( soft drink alternative available) at the Green Dragon Inn . Even my husband, not a fan of LOTR or Hobbits , enjoyed the beautiful scenery . Matt collected us from our Hobbiton Guide at the end of the tour and it was onwards and upwards to the Glowworm Caves . En route we stopped for typical New Zealand lunch at a local ‘ diner ‘ and had a super lunch . The Caves were beautiful and the boat ride through the Glowworms stunning . Our Māori Guide sang a Māori song in the pitch dark of the largest cave to demonstrate the acoustics . Very moving and a real experience. Then Matt took us back to our hotel . A 12 hour day with an early start but very worth it . Great day , great value for money .

Those are mushrooms!

It was an amazing experience! Visiting Hobbiton was a dream we had cherished since it was born, as big fans of Tolkien's saga and books. Sam was very kind and super helpful to everyone: thank you!!!

Wonderful day out

A great experience from start to finish. Picked up right on time. Ari, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable. She successfully navigated early morning traffic and had us arriving in Hobbiton in plenty of time for our wonderful tour. She was great at pointing landmarks out and filling us in with Maori and New Zealand history. Lunch was excellent and the Waitomo Caves were cool. Definitely recommend this tour, even though it is a long day.

A must-do tour!

We loved our day exploring Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves! Our tour guide Liam was exceptional; he was incredibly energetic, knowledgeable, and kind. Liam made sure everyone was comfortable throughout our long day together, and kept us on-time, well-fed, caffeinated, and happy (with even an ice cream break towards the end!) Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves themselves were incredibly beautiful and globally unique places to visit. This tour is a must-do!

Milford Sound

The best day ever! We were picked up near our hotel and driven through absolutely stunning countryside with several stops along the way for photos, restrooms, coffe breaks. A delicious box lunch was served. We were able to get out and walk around several times. The Milford Sound trip was excellent. We boated out to the end of the sound at the edge of the Tasman Sea. The mountains are beautiful. Our guide shared interesting information about the countryside as we travelled through the region.

Fantastic Milford Sound tour with great guide

We had an amazing experience with Cheeky Kiwi on the Milford Sound tour. Our driver Raghav was excellent — very friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole trip enjoyable. There were multiple photo stops along the way, which made the journey just as beautiful as the destination. The lunch box was a good portion and well prepared. Unfortunately our return flight was cancelled due to strong wind, but the team handled it professionally and we received a refund without any issues. Overall a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

Exceeds expectations

Tour guide Andy was incredible in all the different info he provided. He spoke about flora, fauna, history, culture, geography, geology, weather, climate, all the while driving us safely on the trip. He also provided plethora of recommendations for restaurants, places to visit and things to do.

Highlight of my trip

I had an amazing trip to Milford sound with cheeky kiwi! I was a solo traveller and the group size was lovely and welcoming. Our tour guide Glen was the best too. He told great stories along the way, and kept the atmosphere fun with good music and jokes. Not to mention the views were spectacular. Highlight of my trip so far!

A good day trip

Very enjoyable trip to Mt Cook with Hanna at the wheel. She shared interesting facts along the way. The meat pie and coffee stop was well timed. The Landis Pass photo op was lovely. Although the Natl' Park Mts were covered in clouds our photo and walking stops were enjoyable.

Great tour

This trip was great even when travelling solo! Very easy to get chatting to other people and the day is organised so well you don’t have to worry about any of that. The staff were super friendly and answered any questions we had to ask and also gave us lots of fun facts and useful insight on the local area

Great experience to Mt. cook

I chose this tour because I wanted to enjoy the journey to Mt. Cook as well, and it turned out to be a great decision. Although it was an early start, thanks to that we were able to see the beautiful scenery along the way in the best conditions. Our driver and guide gave us fascinating explanations about history and nature, and even after we arrived, he kindly made suggestions tailored to each guest’s needs. We also had plenty of time to enjoy the café and souvenir shop we stopped at, and the views of the Lindis Pass and Lake Pukaki were absolutely stunning. I’m truly glad I joined this tour, and I would definitely love to join again.
